Claiming he sent millions of e-mail messages to its members, America Online (AOL) AOL +0.28% has sued Michael Persaud for digital trespassing and fraud. AOL says he sent spam in a "dubious attempt to lure unwitting individuals" to buy a directory of home employment companies, The Associated Press reported. Persaud, who allegedly sent the messages from his mother's home east of San Diego, was unavailable for comment. AOL says Persaud forged the AOL.com domain in his messages so they would look like they came from the company.
