main info

Russian scammer using spam to send large amounts of appeals across the Internet, where he attempts to convince the recipient to send him goods or money at his residence in Kaluga (Russia).

Sending is either done by using a large number of freemails accounts, or by hijacking consumer PCs and distributing spam through the MTAs of the ISPs hosting the hijacked machines.
Almost invariably there is a dropbox at a freemail for contact, and occasionally some photo is also linked.

Mikhaylin's activity usually has a peak before Christmas every year (november and december).

Some spams contain his own name, using different spellings such as Michailin or Mihailin, while others pretend to be sent by a female often named "Elena".

The scam activity of Valentin Mikhaylin has been widely documented on the Internet.
